I have advised on many new doctoral programme developments. For example internationally: Bauhaus Research School, Bauhaus University, Weimar, Germany, 2008; Michaelis School of Art, University of Cape Town, South Africa, 2009; Art Research Lab, University of Liepaja, Latvia, 2009 - 2011. Postgraduate student research skills development include: University of Dundee doctoral induction programme (2005 - 2009); Nottingham Trent University Masters induction programme (2009); Ulster University (RIAD) PhD programme (2010); Norwich University of the Arts (2015).

I am an experienced research degree supervisor and examiner.

The book chapter - The ‘epistemic object’

in the process of creative doctoral inquiry

(2018) - may be of particular interest to both students and supervisors in relation to the concept of PhD 'exposition'.

This was presented as a keynote at the

inaugural event of the Creator Doctus

programme, Athens, 2019.
